There are many iconic logos around us such as Apple, Nike and BMW however some of the most famous dont belong to corporations but rather to fictional elements. The one genre that gets to fly this flag high are the superheros, some of the most iconic being Superman and Batman. These superheros were using personal identity branding as a huge success long before actual super stars started to incorporate it. Batman as can be seen above not only had a logo but with subtile changes uniquely identified sub stories, a slightly modified logo for each new major story arc in comics, TV and movies. Over the last couple of years, the latest movie trilogy has used the logo in a way that is unique and varied which after following such a long line of logo implementations is very difficult.
What Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and the Dark Knight Rises does differently is mainly seen in the poster design. The batman logo is used not as the porminent element, not as a placed image but rather as the negitive space, and the result is very eye catching.
